Fall 2012 Notes

Skip ENG 101, Orientation, the social science elective (use AP Psych credit), and Introduction to Programming (maybe). I could probably skip the diversity requirement since I took Social Diversity at WTCC, but one of the interdisciplinary classes will probably cover it. Assume that Advanced Logic can count as a math elective.

Then:

  • ENG 101, optionally
  • ENG 333
  • CH 101 and CH 102
  • MA 425
  • 4 math electives including a paper

  • 2 science electives

  • 1 CS elective

  • 1 interdisciplinary elective

  • 2 PE classes

Old notes

I'm a B.S. Mathematics major with no declared minors, which will require 19 more classes and two PE classes.

A Classical Greek minor would require three more classes. A Logic and Methodology minor would require one class in addition to Symbolic Logic, which counts as a math class. Also, a Philosophy minor would require two additional classes, one of which could be Ancient Philosophy.

I could easily take 1-3 classes during summers or perhaps online at a community college. Perhaps Chemistry and statistics. That along with what minors I choose will determine when I graduate. With no summer classes:

  • BS only: 19 = 5+5+5+4 = 4+4+4+4+3
  • LOG: 20 = 5+5+5+5 = 4+4+4+4+4
  • GRK: 22 = 5+5+4+4+4
  • LOG and GRK: 23 = 5+5+5+4+4
  • LOG, GRK and PHI: 25 = 5+5+5+5+5

With two summer classes:

  • BS only: 17 = 5+4+4+4
  • LOG: 18 = 5+5+4+4
  • GRK: 20 = 5+5+5+5 = 4+4+4+4+4
  • LOG and GRK: 21 = 5+4+4+4+4
  • LOG, GRK and PHI: 23 = 5+5+5+4+4

I don't actually need to take the following courses:

  • Introduction to Programming

  • Perspect Learning

  • ENG 101 (can be waived with portfolio)
